TECHNIQUES
On this page you will find details of camera and ict techniques that I hope to develop over the AS course.
Depth Of Field!
Depth of Field (DOF) is the distance between the nearest and farthest objects in a scene that appear acceptably sharp in an image. For this task I decided to focus on an object in the foreground. I placed the object close to the camera and then composed the image so that the object would appear in the left hand side. I set the camera to aperture priority and used a low f stop of F3. This has resulted in a soft background. This is great for adding depth to an image.
Macro!
Macro photography is extreme close up photography. It is the art of taking close-up pictures that reveal details which can’t be seen with the naked eye. It gives us a glimpse into the world of the very small which goes largely unnoticed by us in our day to day lives. To do this you put the camera on a close up setting.
Composite Images!
Composite images are created by taking a multiple of images with the camera on a tripod or on a steady object so that it doesn't move, to ensure the images are taken in the exact same place. You take a picture of something moving each time, making sure that they do not overlap then after taking the pictures you use Photoshop to edit them and merge them all together, you would use tools such as the 'brush tool'.
Light Drawing!
Light painting is a photographic technique in which exposures are made by moving a hand-held light source or by moving the camera
